Invest in your team: Your future best employee is already in your team

In a constantly changing world, leadership becomes an essential skill for any organization. But how does a leader influence the performance of their team? To better understand this aspect, we spoke with Cosmin Radu Galu, an expert with over 18 years of experience in human resources and leadership training, founder of a company that trains professionals from around the globe.

Romania, the starting point for international success

Originally from Arad, Cosmin has been living in Milan for several years, where he oversees training programs for leaders in fields such as financial services, sales, pharmaceuticals, and the automotive industry. Although he studied Law, his interest in leadership training began during college when he worked as a trainer for civic organizations. After obtaining several certifications in behavioral sciences, including one from the California Board of Behavior Sciences, Cosmin became a successful facilitator for teams worldwide.

Q: Cosmin, how has your experience contributed to the development of the leaders you work with?

C.R.G.: My experience has helped me create safe environments where leaders can develop their skills and lead high-performing teams. Currently, I am working on training a network of Romanian experts who deliver training programs on a global scale.

Q: How do you see the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of jobs?

C.R.G.: I believe AI will automate many tasks, but it will also bring new opportunities. Managers will need to adapt not only to technological changes but also to shifts in the job market, where employees will seek environments that allow them to develop their skills. The industry that is called upon today to swiftly support these challenges is our own, which focuses on training leaders and professionals in the private sector.

Q: Can you tell us more about the training programs?

C.R.G.: Sure. We combine online and offline training methods, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence to help teams manage organizational changes. It’s a continuous process, not a quick two-day solution. We work with behaviors and mindsets. The goal of our learning programs is impact – one that your organization sees, feels, and benefits from.

Q: What is your perception of Romania and what do you think should be changed?

C.R.G.: I am very optimistic. Romania has an extraordinary competitive advantage. In many fields, our competitive edge is no longer the cost of labor. We must be aware that we are at a different level. Our competitive advantage is that we have young and middle-aged people with a wealth of experience, extraordinary professionals who have quickly learned over the past 30 years about the requirements of private companies and clients worldwide. We are dynamic, competent, and we have the energy, ambition, and especially the desire to prove ourselves. That differentiates us compared to other countries where the dynamics are different simply because the development of the private sector was not disrupted by dictatorships, as happened to us after World War II.

What was once a disadvantage has now become an advantage. We have learned and grown during these years. Quickly, I would say. I would like us to talk more about this success and to be more optimistic.

Q: What motivates you in your work as a trainer?

C.R.G.: My motivation comes from the desire to contribute to the development and strengthening of the private business environment. Innovation and the services we enjoy are born in this environment. As a trainer, I have the opportunity to see direct, immediate changes both in mindset and in the quality of services and products. I see and understand this connection well. After 25 years of activity, I am just as motivated by this extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the solidification of successful behaviors.

Q: How do you manage to offer continuity and impact in the development of leaders?

C.R.G.: We have a clear vision and a well-established methodology. Together with my team, we help leaders navigate organizational changes by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in the long term.
